Job Description
Summary: The Health Management Academy (THMA) brings together health system leaders and innovators to collectively address the industry’s biggest challenges and opportunities. The Intern, AI & Data Analytics will support data-driven projects, contributing directly to dashboards, data analysis, and automation initiatives during a 10-week internship.
Responsibilities:
- Extract, clean, and organize data from Salesforce to support ongoing reporting and analysis needs
- Analyze datasets to surface key trends, patterns, and actionable insights for internal stakeholders
- Build and maintain dashboards and data visualizations that communicate performance metrics in a clear and accessible format
- Support the development and testing of automation workflows that connect data sources to reporting tools
- Document processes, data definitions, and findings to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer at the end of the internship
- Collaborate with the Convening team manager on an end-of-internship project to be presented to the broader team
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably entering Junior or Senior year, in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience working on multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in-office two days per week (Arlington, VA)
- An interest in healthcare or the healthcare industry is a plus
- Ability to work in a 10-week internship program starting Tuesday, June 9th, 2026
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms
- Ability to organize, clean, and manipulate raw datasets to prepare them for analysis
- Data analysis & communication
- Familiarity with building charts, graphs, or basic dashboards using tools such as Excel
- Collaborative and team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills from planning through execution
- Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for guidance
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and resourceful with a willingness to learn new tools and processes
