As a Business & Operations Trainee, you’ll get an introduction to how a growing business works from the inside, from customers and sales performance through to organisation, team development and day-to-day operations.

You’ll be learning through practical experience, with training and coaching along the way. So if you’re ambitious but haven’t had the opportunity to build business or management experience yet, this is exactly what the trainee element is for.

What Will You Actually Learn?

You’ll begin by getting to grips with the commercial fundamentals of the business.

That includes:

• Understanding customers and building strong relationships
• Supporting sales and customer acquisition activity
• Working towards individual and team objectives
• Learning how performance and results are measured
• Understanding how different areas of the operation work together
• Developing your organisation and problem-solving skills
• Learning how strong teams maintain consistent performance

As you become more confident, you’ll start looking beyond your own performance and understanding how the wider operation is organised and improved.

More Than an Entry-Level Role

Once you’ve developed a strong understanding of the fundamentals, you’ll have opportunities to get involved in areas such as coordinating activity, reviewing results, supporting newer team members and improving day-to-day performance.

For those who show the right development, this can lead into further training across coaching, leadership, operations and team management.
