Job Description
Summary: The Hartford is an insurance company focused on innovative risk solutions. They are seeking Risk Engineers who will leverage AI-powered tools and data-driven insights to provide tailored risk solutions, conduct site surveys, and collaborate with clients to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments, site surveys, and deliver actionable recommendations to reduce loss exposure with focus on customer-centricity and our service model to form partnerships while mitigating risk
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and customers to develop tailored risk improvement strategies
- Working with our distribution partners to help differentiate The Hartford in the marketplace
- Leverage data analytics and digital tools to provide insights and predictive solutions
- Serve as a trusted advisor, educating clients on emerging risks and best practices
- Contribute to innovation initiatives that integrate AI and human expertise for precision and speed
Required Qualifications:
- Background in risk engineering, safety, or related fields
- Technical knowledge in risk control and industry standards
- Strong consultative skills to market risk mitigation solutions
- Self-starters who can independently manage a client service book across a designated territory
- Technical writing proficiency to effectively communicate risk evaluation and mitigation measures to clients and underwriters
- Ability to analyze data and tell a compelling story with insights
- Proficiency with digital tools (dashboards, mobile apps, client platforms) and openness to emerging technologies
- Customer-centric mindset and collaborative approach
- Degree in engineering, safety, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialty expertise or multi-line experience
- Certification in safety or risk management disciplines (such as CSP, CIH, CPCU, CFPS, ARM)
