Summary: The Exploration Company is developing a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle called Nyx. They are seeking a talented Intern-Procurement Engineer to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of items needed for spacecraft construction. Responsibilities: - Scout, research and contact potential suppliers and evaluate their suitability for our project - Actively communicate with suppliers to deliver valuable information to the team and achieve deliveries on quality, on time and on cost - Support the setup of digital processes for optimizing the efficiency of the exchanges between suppliers and The Exploration Company - Identify critical information and efficiently flow it to the relevant persons in the team - Support the procurement team during negotiations with suppliers - Creation of Purchase orders and processing of the related invoices, ensuring that the procure to pay process runs smoothly Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration - Ability to prioritize in view of high and often conflicting workload - Knowledge in purchasing processes combined with a delivery mindset - Ability to work equally well unsupervised or as part of a team - Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks - Positive and flexible attitude to get the job done - Ability to communicate at all levels of the business - Demonstrates behavior consistent with The Exploration Company's core values of Commitment, Innovation, Trust, Quality and Teamwork - Due to federal regulations (e.g., ITAR/EAR), applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (e.g., current Green Card holders) Required Skills: Purchasing processes, Procurement, Supplier evaluation, Purchase order creation, Invoice processing, Prioritization, Organizing Benefits: Relocation assistance is provided for those willing to relocate including visa sponsorship where applicable.
