Job Description
Summary: The Chemours Company is focused on creating a colorful, capable and cleaner world through chemistry. They are seeking an Engineering Intern to join their Advanced Performance Materials team, where the intern will gain hands-on experience in a chemical plant and work closely with engineers on various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing equipment performance and recommending improvement plans
- Conducting failure analysis investigations
- Monitoring process trends and detecting poor reactions
- Implementing process improvement projects
- Participating in process safety management activities
- Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
- Facilitate Management of Change and other Process Safety documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or similar fields
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
