Job Description
We are currently seeking an Associate Analyst to join our research team. The role involves building and maintaining models, writing research notes and industry pieces as well as interfacing withinternal and external clients including senior executives from coveredcompanies. We are looking for strong analytical candidates with a passion forEquity Research. To perform the necessary job duties, analysts must be self-motivated and disciplined. Strong communication skills, good judgment and creativity also are desirable.
Responsibilitiesinclude:
- Play a key role in developing and preparing industry reports and primary research projects
- Building and maintaining financial models, as well as writing research notes (i.e. initiations, earnings) and industry pieces
- Developing and maintaining relationships with investor relations personnel and management of companies under coverage
- Regular interaction with equity sales force and traders, including presentation in morning meeting/conference calls
- Responding to requests for data, information, and calls from internal and external clients
Qualifications
RequiredSkills
- 0-3 years of Equity Research or relevant sector experience
- BA/BS degree required; MBA and/or CFA preferred but not required
- Equity Research and/or Accounting experience preferred
- Candidate must possess exceptional quantitative abilities, strategic perspective, and written/oral communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Work well in a team, as well as individually
- Takes initiative to anticipate Analyst needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
