Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments — including golf operations, clubhouse, food & beverage, grounds/course maintenance, and member services — to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance.
• Support the General Manager in strategic planning, organisational performance, and operational execution, deputising in the GM's absence.
• Lead, supervise, and develop departmental teams (including golf course, hospitality, pro shop, and support staff) to achieve operational and service targets.
• Implement and monitor operational policies, SOPs, and performance standards consistent with premier club and golfing industry benchmarks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, member satisfaction, and service delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across golf, hospitality, and events to ensure seamless workflow and an exceptional member and guest experience.
• Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and cost-control measures across departments.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, health & safety, and club governance requirements.
• Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and performance updates for the General Manager, House Committee, and Executive Leadership.
• Support organisational projects, change management, and business transformation initiatives, including course/facility improvement programmes.
• Engage confidently with members, committees, and stakeholders to uphold the Club's standards and traditions.
Requirements
• A Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sports/Golf Club Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years' experience in Operations / Hospitality Management, ideally within a private members' club, golf club, hotel, or premium leisure environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with a discerning and diverse membership base.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, reporting, compliance, and performance management.
• Familiarity with club governance structures (committees, member relations) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
