Summary: Tesla is a leading electric vehicle and clean energy company, and they are seeking a Silicon Systems Validation Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will be responsible for validating high-speed Serdes, performing system-level power characterization, troubleshooting hardware bugs, and collaborating with teams in hardware design and firmware development. Responsibilities: - Create and execute synthetic workloads that stress the various functional blocks inside the silicon platforms such as the GPU, Fabric, Neural Network, Camera Interface etc - Assist in identifying and fixing any hardware bugs before going into production - Bring up and characterize Autopilot Custom Silicon and PCBA - Collaborate with diverse teams in hardware design, schematic reviews, firmware development, and building automated test infrastructures - Write test plans, develop test cases, and catch design bugs before production - Characterize and improve power and performance consumption at a system level - Perform Failure Analysis on CM and field return units Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - Experience with analog and digital circuit design and PCBA - Experience with PCB component selection - Experience in MATLAB, Python, Linux, C/C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis - Experience on using test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, VNA, etc - Knowledge of computer architecture Required Skills: Analog circuit design, Digital circuit design, MATLAB, Python Important Skills: Linux, C/C++, PCB component selection, Test, measurement equipment Nice-to-Have Skills: Computer architecture Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction, Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits, Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans.
