Your role as part of the team

As our new Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing modern software solutions that support users in complex operational environments. In this role, you will help transform user needs and technical possibilities into reliable, intuitive and scalable applications that create value in real-world operations. Working closely with end users, domain experts and colleagues across disciplines, you will contribute to turning innovative ideas into practical solutions and bringing new technologies from concept to deployment.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

• • Design, build and maintain web applications that present AI model results to end users
    • Build intuitive interfaces and visualizations that remain fast and easy to use, even when handling large volumes of data and frequent updates
    • Develop and maintain backend services in Java and Python
    • Collaborate with data scientists to integrate model outputs into software applications
    • Work closely with end users to understand operational needs and translate them into effective software solutions
    • Write tested, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and software quality
    • Deploy, operate and maintain applications in a containerised environment

Bring your expertise into play

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you bring some of the following qualifications:

• • A relevant bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a similar field
    • Solid experience with React, TypeScript, or a similar modern frontend stack
    • Experience building data-heavy or real-time web applications, with a good understanding of rendering performance
    • Experience developing backend services in Java and/or Python
    • Experience working with containerised applications using Docker
    • A structured approach to software development and a focus on writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
    • Experience with technologies such as MapLibre, Mapbox, Kafka, Kubernetes, or machine learning applications is an advantage, but not a requirement.
