Job Description
Summary: Terex Corporation is a global leader in specialized equipment solutions, and they are seeking a skilled Installer Lead to join their team in Watertown, SD. The role involves overseeing Lean Manufacturing duties, promoting workplace safety, training team members, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all Lean Manufacturing team members duties in that team leader’s area of responsibility
- Promote and maintain a safe and organized workplace
- Relieve team members when they need to leave the workstation
- Train and cross train team members
- Initiate daily production Improvements
- Maintain/Audit/Improve standard work
- Understanding of TAKT time and Cycle time
- Strong Understanding of Single Piece Flow
- Ability to identify and eliminate waste within manufacturing processes
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Capable of working from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns
- Maintain work area in a clean, neat, and orderly manner
- Install unit vehicle components and accessories
- Set up jigs and fixtures
- Basic computer usage
- Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
- Comply with Terex quality standards through error prevention and by meeting such requirements with zero defects
- Follow and promote The Terex Way Values
- Function as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Perform other job functions as needed

- High school diploma and/or equivalent experience
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and 40-100 lbs. with assistance of others or lifting equipment provided
- Physical ability to work under, on, and around truck chassis and truck bodies
- 1-3 years of lean manufacturing experience
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team, work under the pressure of deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Experience working with hydraulics/electrical/fabrication
- Capable of operating a variety of hand and power tools
- Possess ability to problem-solve
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Previous work experience in fields such as mechanical/construction/carpentry
