Job Description
Summary: Tempur Sealy is a leading designer, manufacturer, distributor, and retailer of bedding products worldwide. The Global Financial Reporting (GFR) Accountant will assist with corporate entity accounting, global financial consolidation, and U.S. SEC reporting, requiring a solid foundation in U.S. GAAP accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of general accounting activities related to global financial reporting, including the following:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts while documenting business transactions
- Analyze financial information and assist in preparing the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position
- Perform account reconciliations and review of quarterly and annual fillings with the SEC
- Build relationships with local country controllers to understand subsidiary operations and facilitate the collection of financial information
- Ensure all financial deadlines are met
- Prepare documentation to assist internal and external auditors
- Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to aid in accounting processes and other company objectives
- Identify ways to develop and implement best practices to improve existing processes and accuracy
- Provide support on ad-hoc requests and special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change

- Strong set of communication and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA license/CPA candidate is preferred
- Some travel, evening and weekend work may be required
