Job Description
Summary: Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. The company is seeking a Test Technician Intern to support the manufacturing team in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing LeCroy instruments while collaborating with product design engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair oscilloscopes, probes, and electronic assemblies under supervision
- Operate software-driven test stations
- Learn to interpret production drawings and schematics to identify and resolve failures
- Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, network analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies with guidance from experienced technicians
- Provide feedback and support to improve engineering test processes, including evaluating test procedures, equipment, workflows, and contributing to documentation updates
- Participate in team meetings and support key metrics and initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a related 2 or 4-year program such as: Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Electronics Technician Certificate, or a related program
- Minimum 1 year of program credits
- Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, waveform generators)
- Ability to interpret production drawings, schematics, and manufacturing procedures written in English
- Comfortability utilizing Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and hands-on learning capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in the electronics industry
- Basic soldering ability or prior electronics lab experience
- Ability to tailor communication (both written and verbal) to your audience
- Familiarity with coding, scripting, or databases
- Exposure to Arduino, microcontrollers, or basic embedded systems
- Experience with 3D printing software and simple mechanical prototyping
