Job Description
Summary: TechniBlend is seeking a Controls Engineering Intern to work alongside their Controls Engineering team and gain hands-on experience with automation projects. The intern will assist with PLC and HMI programming, support testing and troubleshooting of control systems, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and assist with PLC and HMI programming for automated equipment
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of control systems
- Review and help maintain control drawings and system documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams
- Gain exposure to industrial automation standards and safety practice
- Documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Students currently enrolled and majoring in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Mechatronics, or related field
- Must have completed at least two years of study at an accredited institution
- Coursework, labs, projects, or curiosity related to automation or PLC
- Interest in hands-on learning and manufacturing environments
- Basic understanding of electrical/electronic troubleshooting
- Interest in electromechanical systems, electronic testing, and design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with PLC concepts or automation coursework a plus
- Motivated, curious, and eager to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
- Organized and work well with constant priority changes
