IT Intern – Software Engineer at TDS Telecommunications LLC in Remote

Summary: TDS Telecommunications LLC is committed to providing hands-on learning experiences for interns. They are seeking an IT Intern–Software Engineer to assist in application design and development while gaining exposure to the cyber security field and various technologies. Responsibilities: - Desire to apply your academic knowledge through a variety of work assignments - Wanting to challenge yourself to be part of the solution through creative ingenuity - Looking to evolve your skillset via hands-on assignments - Comfortable addressing issues and finding creative solutions - Capable of handling multiple project tasks simultaneously Required Qualifications: - Must be able to complete at least 20+ working hours between Monday - Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST - Must be 18+ years of age - Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, programming, business or related field - Two or more semesters of related technology coursework - Must be comfortable with Python, JavaScript, React - Knowledge of Relational Database Management System concepts and SQL - Basic knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) - The ability to analyze complex technical information - Excellent problem solving and logical thinking skills - Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication - Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks - Proficiency with Windows, Linux, MS Office, and various IDE's - Solid work ethic and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines - Assertive, proactive, and seeks work and clarification on issues/concerns that arise - Self-motivated with the ability to act independently and demonstrate sound judgment - Dependable, accountable, responsive, and committed to follow-through activities - Ability to work both independently and on team assignments Required Skills: Python, JavaScript, React, Relational Database Management System, SQL, Software Development Life Cycle, Windows, Linux, MS Office, Integrated Development Environments, Logical thinking, Organizing, Responsiveness, Planning Benefits: Medical Coverage, Health Savings Accounts, 401(k) plan (if 18 or older), Sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates), Employee Assistance and Wellness Programs
