Job Description
Summary: TD Securities is a major global investment dealer offering a full suite of services under Investment Banking. The Analyst in the Corporate and Leveraged Finance group will be involved with structuring, executing, and monitoring debt transactions, particularly within the utilities sector, while developing expertise in financial modeling and client credit risks.
Responsibilities:
- Spread and monitor clients’ historical financial performance of utility clients
- Gather and analyze trends in qualitative and quantitative data, including regulatory environments, rate cases, and industry dynamics
- Analyze deal structures, covenants, and financing terms
- Prepare and present diligence findings to senior bankers and credit committees
- Compile data through due diligence and prepare comprehensive reviews that analyze transactions and client credit risks
- Create detailed models to project clients’ future cash flows and debt ratios
- Assist with deal negotiations and documentation review
- Assist with ad hoc projects
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree preferably in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics
- Strong financial/analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to become adept at financial modeling
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior exposure to utilities, power, energy, infrastructure is strongly preferred
- Other undergraduate majors will be considered if the candidate demonstrates the necessary skill set
