Job Description
Summary: TD Securities is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is seeking candidates for their 2026 Early Talent Analyst Program. The Financial Analyst I will provide planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis support for assigned lines of business, while developing specialized analytical tools and assisting in complex analyses.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine reporting and/or analysis as directed
- May resolve issues and problems by conferring with staff
- May provide financial, analytical, planning, and forecasting expertise to assist in the development and completion of projects
- Assists in developing specialized analytical tools for project or ongoing use
- Assists more experienced staff in and provides support for developing more complex analyses
- May review results of assigned analyses with more experienced staff, assisting in the identification of unexpected results
- Assists in the development of conclusions and courses of action to rectify discrepancies as well as analyses
- Assists in developing and analyzing key metric and plan variances and related information
- May provide cost and product analyses
- Assists in the development analyses of performance and predictive data
- Compiles and generates standard analytical reports
- Assists in developing financial analytical and forecasting models to test assumptions and predict results of business initiatives
- May assist in additional research efforts, applying expertise in financial analysis
- May assist in the research and review details of business operating metrics and actively seeks to identify and promote new opportunities or products for assigned line(s) of business
- May assist in the development, forecasting, and analysis of potential responses
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
- 1-2 years related experience required
- Basic knowledge of financial analysis techniques and methodologies
- Basic knowledge of financial analysis and planning software applications
- Computer literacy and proficiency in common desktop business applications
- Ability to employ descriptive statistics to perform basic analysis of financial information
- Good analytical and communications skills
- Basic understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes
- Basic knowledge of accounting and the associated rules and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expected graduation dates between December 2025 – June 2026 preferred
