Job Description
Summary: TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions, and they are seeking a Summer Intern to support their Finance team with U.S. accounting focus. The intern will assist in financial strategy development, reporting activities, and collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting and applying U.S. GAAP and regulatory reporting guidance
- Evaluating accounting policy implications for transactions, or structural changes
- Partnering with Controllership, Treasury, and FP&A to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting processes (10-Q / 10-K, internal management reporting)
- Identifying control considerations and supporting SOX and audit requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing post secondary degree in business-related disciplines
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to take initiative and accountability of your actions
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Detail oriented with an ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- You must be work authorized in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Anticipated graduation between December 2026 - June 2027 preferred
