Job Role : Network Implementation Engineer (IP)

Job Description :

1. IP/MPLS & Routing Expertise

Strong hands-on experience in:

IP/MPLS configuration (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS VPNs)

Ability to Configure and verify:

L2/L3 services

Routing instances

Knowledge of:

Traffic flow and routing behaviour

2. Network Implementation & Change Execution

Experience in:

Pre/Post change validation and execution

Ability to Perform:

Planned implementations

Service activations

Strong understanding of:

Rollback procedures and risk mitigation

3. Multi-Layer Network Integration

Ability to:

Integrate Optical IP layers during provisioning

Understanding of:

End-to-end service activation workflows

Coordination across:

Design, build, and operations teams

4. Configuration Management & Compliance

Strong adherence to:

LLD/DDP and configuration standards

Ability to:

Validate configurations against templates

Experience with:

Configuration audit and standardisation

5. Automation & Scripting

Exposure to:

Automation tools and provisioning frameworks

Basic scripting knowledge:

Python / CLI scripting (preferred)

Ability to Use:

Templates

Automated workflows

6. Software & System Management

Experience in:

Software upgrades, patches and version control

Ability to:

Maintain:

Stable configurations

System integrity

7. Troubleshooting & Validation

Ability to Troubleshoot:

Configuration errors

Connectivity issues

Support:

Post-implementation testing and validation

Ensure:

Service readiness before handover

8. Governance & Process Alignment

Understanding of:

ITIL-based change management processes

Ability to Maintain:

Change logs

Configuration documentation

Ensure:

Compliance with security and operational standards
