Job Description
Summary: Tandem Diabetes Care is a leader in the diabetes technology industry, creating innovative solutions for individuals living with diabetes. The IT Technician Intern will assist with various onsite IT activities, providing foundational support in user lifecycle management, PC imaging, and basic deskside support tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with PC Imaging and endpoint provisioning tasks
- Assists the onsite Endpoint Systems Teams with a variety of hands-on tasks related to computer peripheral deployment and troubleshooting to basic support
- Maintains accurate records of IT equipment inventory; keeping storage areas neat and organized
- Assists IT Coordinators with shipping and receiving tasks
- Assists with onsite walk-up support at Tandem HQ Facility
- Organizes and prepares new hire IT equipment for pickup and shipping
- Performs hardware diagnostics on break/fix laptops and determines if warranty or repair is applicable
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to seamlessly prioritize multiple tasks
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to present ideas and solutions to technical problems to both technical and non-technical employees
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and software licensing agreements
- High School Diploma
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months experience in a Service Desk or IT Support Position, preferred but not required
- 6 months experience in a customer service role, preferred but not required
