Summary: Talen Energy is seeking a highly analytical graduate-level intern for their Talent Acquisition team. The role focuses on supporting workforce insights, reporting, and dashboard development initiatives to enable data-driven hiring decisions. Responsibilities: - Develop dashboards and visualizations using advanced Excel and/or Power BI - Integrate data related to: Headcount and organizational structure, Open requisitions and hiring activity, Workforce planning projections and future demand, Recruiting pipeline and performance metrics - Translate business questions into analytical outputs and actionable insights - Support workforce planning and recruiting strategy through data modeling and reporting - Partner with HRIS and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and alignment with governance standards - Create documentation and user guides for dashboards and reporting tools - Identify opportunities to improve reporting automation and efficiency - Support leadership presentations with analytics and visual storytelling Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Master's degree in a quantitative or business discipline such as: Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Analytics, Data Science, MBA with analytics or HR concentration, Or a related field with a strong analytical component - Experience with Excel and/or Power BI - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders - Attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data transformation, Power Query) - Experience with Power BI data modeling or visualization tools - Familiarity with HR, recruiting, or workforce data concepts - Experience working with structured datasets from enterprise systems - Coursework in statistics, data analytics, or business intelligence Required Skills: Excel, Power BI, Data Analytics Important Skills: Analytical skills
