Skills
Job Description
Summary: Takshila Inc is the world's first P2P co-fabrication platform, connecting customers, designers, and artisans. They are seeking candidates for their Business Development Internship Program to help build partnerships and pipelines that will shape the company's future.
Responsibilities:
- Map and pursue Takshila's ecosystem: identify and reach out to designers, master artisans, fabricators, luxury brands, and strategic partners who belong in Takshila's orbit
- Build outreach pipelines that are disciplined and human. Not spray-and-pray email blasts
- Conduct deep market research into luxury, craftsmanship, AI, Web3, and the creator economy
- Generate and qualify leads. Take them through the conversation. Understand what they need; communicate what Takshila offers
- Assist in partnership discussions and early business negotiations. Be a part of the room
- Track outreach performance and conversion rates
- Collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams to ensure what we're selling reflects what the platform actually delivers — and provide market feedback to the relevant teams
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree — from a top institution or with a track record that makes the institution irrelevant
- Demonstrable communication skills: written and verbal. You can write a cold email that gets a reply. You can hold a conversation that earns trust. You can make a case clearly and concisely
- Strong research and analytical instincts — you know how to find the right information, synthesise it, and turn it into a decision or a move
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Google Workspace, CRM tools, and business research platforms. Knowing the tools is table stakes. Knowing how to use them to find and close real opportunities is the skill
- Comfort with ambiguity, fast pace, and high ownership
- Availability and commitment across the internship duration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or growth — even if informal. Side projects, college societies, early-stage ventures, or freelance work all count
- Experience with cold outreach and lead generation. You know what a good open rate looks like and why it matters
- Understanding of marketplace businesses, platform ecosystems, and multi-sided markets
- Exposure to luxury consumer markets, creator economies, or craft and design industries — a genuine interest in an ecosystem where premium, human-made, and technology-enabled intersect
- Knowledge of AI, blockchain, or Web3 is a plus. Intellectual curiosity about where these technologies are taking commerce and ownership is more than enough to start
Required Skills: LinkedIn, Google Workspace, CRM tools, Business research platforms, Sales, Business development, Lead generation, Marketplace businesses, Platform ecosystems, Multi-sided markets, AI, Blockchain, Web3
Benefits: Direct access to founding leaders — no manager layers, no filtered information., Regular check-ins with the CEO., Deep exposure to category creation: what it takes to build a new market, establish a new behavior, and position a platform from zero to one., A front-row seat at the intersection of AI, luxury, craftsmanship, and Web3 — one of the most consequential spaces in commerce right now., Outstanding performance may open doors to a full-time role at Takshila, Inc., For the top performers, we are open to an ESOP-based position, where you earn a stake in what you help build.
