SUMMARY:

Research, plans, and designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties.

Demonstrates technical expertise in disciplinary field Meets task or project time and budget goals Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portion of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.

Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application

Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, machines, and bulk material handling mechanical systems

Assist in the design of products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.

Evaluates equipment designs and provide recommendations to Project Engineer for design modifications.

Develop 3D models and 2D design drawings as directed by a Project Engineer or under the direction of other experienced engineers/designers.

Perform Material Take-offs and generate Bill Of Materials

Check and approve shop fabrication drawings.
