Job Description
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
Acts as the primary Technical System Owner (TSO) at the Rieti and Pisa manufacturing sites, while also providing TSO support for other DD&T systems as needed; serves as the main technical point of contact and partners with the MES Business Owner and key stakeholders (MBR designer, Shop Floor Integrator, Quality, Validation, Engineering, IT Infrastructure, Global MES/CIM).
Ensures system lifecycle governance and compliance driving SDLC execution and adherence to Takeda standards and CSV/validation procedures.
Coordinates and delivers technical operations and continuous improvement (MES-first), overseeing day-to-day reliability, performance monitoring, maintenance, upgrades and patching (with Global MES/CIM).
ACCOUNTABILITIES (Describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job. Include only the essential functions of the job. Approximately 5 – 10 bulleted task statements should be identified).
Provide support to OT environment (Infrastructure, server, client, network, all devices) and critical infrastructures including Operational Technology in Lab and Operational Technology on the shop floor
Coordinate day-to-day technical ownership for DD&T systems: monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, patching.
Provide technical hardware and software support on local IT and OT infrastructures and identify possible process improvement in the existing systems.
Manage system lifecycle and validation deliverables: SDLC execution, CSV documentation updates, and maintaining the validated state. Maintains/updates lifecycle documentation, including resiliency plan and resiliency testing evidence.
Lead and govern changes: design/review/approve technical changes and coordinate stakeholders for interfaces and enhancements.
Act as Change Request (CR) owner
Run service management: manage incidents/requests in the ITSM platform, track KPIs/metrics, report status, and escalate to the sites LT and Global MES TSO when appropriate.
Maintain system inventory and enable data value: keep CMDB accurate, manage technical risks and mitigations.
Leads projects. Member of global/local PODs.

Accountable for the overall management, maintenance, and optimization of specific technical systems and solutions related to digital products- primarily but not limited to MES, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Acts as the primary point of contact for all technical aspects of the system and digital solution, aligning system performance with business needs.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Several years of experience in system administration, system management, or a related field
Strong knowledge of system architecture, system integration, and digital product development
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Ability to automate system tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
Understanding of cybersecurity practices and regulatory compliance requirements
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Availability to travel to Pisa.
