Job Description
Summary: Takeda is a leading pharmaceutical company, and they are seeking a Quality Improvement Intern to join their Quality Services and Improvement team. This internship provides hands-on experience with Quality initiatives, focusing on digital transformation and process optimization within the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:
- Support activities that drive efficiency and value creation across site manufacturing and quality operations, including digital transformation (e.g., electronic batch records, eForms) and process improvement (e.g., streamlining workflows, updating specifications, supporting compliance initiatives)
- Create data visualizations and reports using tools like Power BI. You will help create clear, impactful visuals and dashboards that enable stakeholders to understand trends, patterns, and insights within the data
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects by engaging with multiple teams within the business unit, gaining experience with both digital and non-digital Quality initiatives
- Participate in general continuous improvement initiatives for the QA team, such as process mapping, deviation reduction, and implementation of best practices
- Contribute to the adoption and optimization of new technologies and methodologies, including AI tools, automation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Required Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Science or related fields
- Strong interest in Quality improvement, process optimization, and innovative technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of SQL or JavaScript a plus
- Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)
- Highly reliable and a strong team player
- Flexible with an attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later
- The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
