Channel Partnerships Manager at Taiv in Winnipeg, Canada
Job Description
Channel Partnerships Manager — Taiv
Location: Winnipeg, Canada · Visa sponsorship: no
Who We Are:
Taiv is a fast-growing tech startup located in Winnipeg, Canada. Taiv uses AI to make business TV more fun, engaging, profitable, and easier to manage, starting with bars and restaurants. We've built proprietary tech that uses computer vision to watch live TV and improve the content with contextually-aware commercials, content, and games. Our tech also automates the manual AV tasks that venues have to do every day, to make bar management easier, standardized, and more profitable. We're venture-capital backed and graduated from Y Combinator, the world's top tech accelerator, in winter 2020. Program alumni include Airbnb, Instacart, DoorDash, etc. (www.ycombinator.com/topcompanies).
We are looking for a Channel Partnerships Manager to join our growing team!
What We're Looking For:
Channel partners are one of the fastest ways Taiv gets into new venues. A single partner can make a huge impact. Your job is to turn that potential into results: help our partners sell Taiv well, keep them engaged, and build the systems that turn their referrals into live venues at scale.
This is a role with real range. One day you're winning over a partner's team on a call. The next you're designing the onboarding that gets them up to speed, digging into why one partner outperforms the rest, or working with product and ops to understand what a specific type of venue needs. You'll have genuine room to shape how this part of Taiv’s business grows.
If you like variety, you take satisfaction in making other people successful, and you'd rather build a system than just work inside one, this is a strong fit. No two days look quite the same here.
What You'll Be Doing:
Own the relationships. Be the main point of contact for Taiv's channel partners. Build strong trust with their teams, keep both sides aligned on priorities, and turn solid partners into your best ones.
Enable partners to sell. Build the onboarding, training, and materials that help partners understand Taiv and sell it as well as we would. The better you set them up, the more they deliver.
Grow partner output. Track how each partner is performing, learn what makes the top ones work, and find ways to increase referrals, revenue, and engagement across the roster.
Build the systems. Design the processes that let us handle the hundreds of venues partners refer, so growth scales up cleanly instead of breaking down.
Work across teams. Partner with product, sales, and ops to understand what different venue and advertiser types need, clear roadblocks for partners, and keep requests moving.
Track what matters. Set up the reporting that gives the company a clear view of partner activity, performance, opportunities, and risks.
Who You Are:
You're an excellent communicator. You like meeting new people and can carry an important partner conversation with confidence.
You take ownership. When something breaks, you fix it. When a process is clunky, you improve it. You don't wait to be told what to do next.
You like to build. You're as comfortable designing an onboarding flow or working through performance data as you are closing a partner on a call.
You bring ideas, not just questions. You collaborate well, but you show up with a point of view and a recommendation.
You follow through. People trust you to do what you said and to own your part of the business.
Your Qualifications:
Several years in channel partnerships, partner management, business development, or a closely related role, ideally at a tech company or fast-moving startup.
A track record of managing partner relationships and growing what they deliver over time.
Experience building partner enablement: the onboarding, training, and materials that help external partners sell and represent a product well.
Comfort building repeatable systems and reporting to manage relationships and referral volume at scale.
Strong communicator who can work across product, sales, and ops to get partners what they need.
Perks:
Employee stock options
100% employer-covered health benefits
Flex-time & unlimited paid vacation
Gym membership
Catered lunches 3x per week
Dog-friendly office
Hybrid work model
Free parking on-site
