Job Description
Summary: T-Mobile is a leader in the wireless industry, known for its innovative approach. The Data Analyst Internship provides hands-on experience in analyzing business requirements and translating them into actionable data insights, contributing to data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business subject matter experts and data professionals to define critical data elements and prepare data for analysis
- Perform data profiling and monitor data quality by working with data stewards and quality leads to support remediation efforts
- Partner with product owners and agile teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of data-related projects
- Interpret data models and convert user requirements into technical specifications and design documents
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree OR graduate degree. Must graduate between December 2026 or June 2027 to be eligible
- Technology Knowledge of relational databases and data architecture computer systems, including not limited to SQL
- Technology Experience working with relational databases using SQL
- Technology Experience with Data querying, cleaning, wrangling, working with common relational and non-relational databases in big data environments such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud
- Technology Experience articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at an answer using data
- Technology Data Visualization skills using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau etc
- Communication Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Agile Familiarity with Agile Methodology
- Problem Solving Strong analytical, critical-thinking skills with demonstrated ability analyze/synthesize data and generate insights
- At least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-4 years Experience in data identification, querying, cleaning, wrangling, checking quality, working with common relational and non-relational databases in big data environments on both on-prem and cloud such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud
- 2-4 years Experience articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at an answer using data
- 2-4 years Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and giving data-driven presentations
- 2-4 years Experience working with relational databases using SQL
- 2-4 years Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc
- 2-4 years Experience with big data architecture and pipeline, such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Kafka is a plus
