Summary: Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) delivers high-impact, technical solutions to complex national security issues. They are seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to provide analytic and financial data analysis support for DoD and Intelligence Community acquisition activities, focusing on budget and acquisition activities. Responsibilities: - Learn and gain experience through providing analytic and financial data analysis support for important DoD and Intelligence Community acquisition activities - This position will provide you with exposure to and expected participation in policy and program research, light data analysis, and development of presentations for senior leadership, focusing on budget and acquisition activities Required Qualifications: - US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance - Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate program and have at least one semester remaining following the internship - Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Management, Accounting, or similar field - Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to synthesize data and communicate clearly via written and verbal means - Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to communicate to decision makers - Ability to report to designated work location in Chantilly, VA, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer Preferred Qualifications: - Proactive interest in learning new skills and engaging new challenges - Strong customer service skills, with interest in proactively anticipating and addressing client needs - Experience with advance analytics such as Tableau Required Skills: Financial analysis, Microsoft Office Important Skills: Data analysis, Tableau Nice-to-Have Skills: Customer service skills, Proactive learning
