Description

Redwood City, CA | Toyota | Japanese brand | Variable ops | Desk manager | Sales management experience required | High volume | Peninsula | Bay Area | Silicon Valley | Veterans encouraged to apply | $72,000 - $180,000+ OTE

IS THIS YOU?

• You're a proven sales manager or desk manager with 2+ years of experience -- you desk deals accurately, develop consultants through coaching, and your team's closing ratio and CSI reflect the culture you've built

• You're ready to lead the floor at one of the Bay Area Peninsula's highest-volume Toyota stores, where a fast-moving, diverse buyer base rewards a sales manager who runs a disciplined, guest-first operation

WHO WE ARE

Toyota 101 is part of Swickard Auto Group, a hospitality company in the retail automotive space built on one idea -- be the favorite of our guests, our employees, and our manufacturing partners. We operate 40+ dealerships across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii, and whether you're in Redwood City or Anchorage, the standard is the same. Do right by people, every time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the sales floor daily -- desk deals, manage consultant performance, and maintain the guest experience standard from first contact through delivery

• Coach and develop the sales consultant team -- reviewing CRM activity, conducting one-on-ones, and building the habits that drive consistent monthly performance

• Structure deals with accuracy and integrity -- presenting options that genuinely serve the guest while protecting store gross

• Monitor and hold the team accountable to key metrics -- closing ratio, units, gross per vehicle, lead response time, and CRM compliance

• Partner with finance to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless guest experience through the purchase process

• Manage floor coverage, scheduling, and staffing throughout the day

• Recruit, interview, and onboard sales consultants in partnership with the General Manager

• Handle guest escalations with composure and a solution-first approach

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of Sales Manager or desk manager experience at a franchised dealership -- required

• Toyota or import brand sales management experience a meaningful advantage -- the Silicon Valley buyer is informed, moves quickly, and responds to a sales culture built on transparency and follow-through

• Confident at the desk -- able to structure deals quickly, accurately, and with the guest relationship intact

• Coaching-first leadership -- you develop your consultants rather than managing around them

• Strong CRM discipline -- you hold the team to consistent follow-up standards and model the habits you expect

• Prior DMS experience preferred -- familiarity with platforms such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerSocket, Tekion, or equivalent

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

WHAT WE OFFER

• OTE of $72,000 - $180,000+/yr

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

• Paid time off and paid holidays

• Career growth -- strong Sales Managers at Swickard grow into GSM and General Manager roles across a 40+ rooftop organization

• Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

WHY TOYOTA 101

• One of the Bay Area Peninsula's highest-volume Toyota stores -- consistent, diverse traffic from Redwood City's tech-forward, multicultural buyer base means real deal flow and real earning potential for a sales manager who runs a tight floor

• Toyota's ownership loyalty is among the highest in the industry -- Peninsula buyers return for every vehicle in the household and refer the sales teams who treated them honestly. A Sales Manager who builds that culture here earns a floor that sustains itself

• Silicon Valley buyers are informed, decisive, and move quickly when the experience is right -- the Sales Manager who leads a transparent, efficient sales process earns their trust and their repeat business

• Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

• Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- are the operational standard for the sales floor, not just a poster on the wall

If you're a proven sales manager ready to lead a high-volume Bay Area Peninsula Toyota floor where the traffic is real, the buyers are decisive, and a disciplined, hospitality-first operation earns accordingly -- apply.
