QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma required
Minimum of one year’s experience in a hospital or outpatient billing, insurance verification, collections, payment posting and front office experience
Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling all walk-ins accurately in the hospital EMR system.
- Register and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring smooth intake process.
- Completes new patient registration in hospital EMR system with precision and attention to detail.
- Performs daily reporting in the hospital EMR systems; Collect co-pays, post to respective patient accounts and issue receipts through hospital EMR system
- Ensures all documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with organizational standards.
- Verifies insurance, obtains authorizations as required
- Assembles and distribute new patient information packets. Scans registration documents into the appropriate EMR system
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the facility
- Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by supervisor

Category I exposure to bloodborne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.
