Installation Technician at Surge Staffing in Galion, OH

Job Summary

We are seeking an Installation Technician to install finished products and complete assembly-related tasks in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, be comfortable using hand and power tools, and be able to read blueprints and measuring devices. Basic hydraulic, electrical, and computer knowledge is helpful but not required.

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:15 PM - 2:45 AM

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and assembly tasks according to work instructions and production schedules.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet quality and productivity goals.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Use measuring devices, hand tools, and equipment required for installation and assembly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
• Minimize waste and rework by producing quality work.
• Learn and perform all aspects of the position as required.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills are a plus.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties throughout the shift.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods on a concrete floor.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Reach, bend, squat, kneel, and crouch as needed.
• Climb ladders when required.
• Maintain good hand dexterity and balance while operating tools and equipment.
• Perform occasional crawling and work in various positions.
• Use vision, hearing, and other senses to safely perform job duties.
