Maritime Structural Engineer at Surbana Jurong · Jakarta

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct structural analysis and design using engineering software, primarily STAAD Pro.

• Prepare detailed design calculations, technical reports, and specifications.

• Prepare structural sketches using AutoCAD to be developed by drafter.

• Review structural drawings prepared by drafter.

• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international codes and standards.

• Collaborate and coordinate design efforts with other engineering disciplines.

• Participate in site visits for data collection, inspections, or addressing construction queries as needed.

• Review vendor submissions and shop drawings for structural integrity.

• Contribute to the development of project proposals and technical documentation.

• Potentially provide guidance or mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Ocean Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years (preferred in structural design of marine structures)

• Software Proficiency:

• • Proven expertise in structural analysis and design software, particularly STAAD Pro.
• • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and reviewing drawings.

• Technical Skills:

• • Solid understanding of fundamental structural engineering principles.
• • Familiarity with common structural materials (steel, concrete, etc.).
• • Ability to apply relevant design codes and standards effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Language Skills: good command of both written and spoken English.

• Have a SKK Ahli Madya Dermaga (preferred)
