Therapist (LMSW) | Part-Time with Path… at Supplied Talent · New York

Job Overview

Upstate Counseling is an established outpatient mental health practice serving clients throughout New York State. We're growing and investing in clinical leadership, supervision, and infrastructure so our clinicians have real support as they build their careers.

Why clinicians join us

• Weekly clinical supervision toward LCSW licensure, provided at no cost to you
• A clear, objective path to full time: once you hold 25 or more billable sessions per week for 4 consecutive weeks, you can move to an annual salary with full benefits
• Remote, hybrid, or in-person options with flexible scheduling
• A practice that wants you to grow with it long term

What you'll do

• Provide ethical, evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, and depending on your experience, children, adolescents, and couples
• Keep timely, accurate documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
• Bring all cases to weekly supervision, especially clients with safety concerns, clients who disengage, and clients who frequently cancel or no-show
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and your supervisor

How the role works

This is a fee-for-service position. You're paid for each completed session. Supervision time, no-shows, and cancellations are not paid. To reach our target of 12 billable sessions per week, therapists schedule 15 to 16 appointments weekly and keep a consistent schedule. This role works best for clinicians who want it to be their primary professional home and plan to build toward full time.
