They are seeking a motivated PhD student to join their Research team as an Applied Research Intern for the summer of 2026, where the intern will tackle significant research challenges and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art tools in natural language processing and machine learning. Responsibilities: - Work on an end-to-end research challenge that directly relates to your team’s high-level goals - Partner with a mentor to scope, design, and execute on a fully formed project over the duration of your internship - Collaborate with a strong team of professionals from whom you can learn from daily - Develop state-of-the-art tools for correcting, improving, and enhancing written English using modern LLMs - Produce sound experimental results to enable decision-making as we iterate on projects - Be results-oriented in the face of ambiguous problems and uncertain outcomes Required Qualifications: - Is available for the entire duration of a twelve-week program - Is currently enrolled in and near completion of a Master's or PhD in natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning, or a related field - Has strong research skills, with a track record of publications in NLP, ML, DL or related fields - Is proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch - Demonstrates strong communication skills, especially as it relates to technical collaboration - Is excited to learn!
