HR Operations and Payroll Intern at Supercharge · Budapest

At Supercharge, we go by the saying that ‘culture eats strategy for breakfast’, and our extraordinary People Ops & Recruitment team is at the forefront of building and nurturing our people-centered culture and community.

Over the past decade, we've built a team of exceptional professionals and awesome human beings and we are dedicated to making sure that every member of our community feels valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work. Our team of 9 works tirelessly to manage events, optimize HR processes, recruit top talent, and oversee complex organizational development projects.

We appreciate (dark) humor, strong work ethic, and transparency within our team and we're always on the lookout for new talent who share our passion for building a strong and supportive company culture. And, if you happen to love brunch, that's just the cherry on top!

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented HR Operations and Payroll Intern to join our People Team and work closely with our Payroll Specialist on day-to-day HR administration and payroll-related tasks.

This role is a great fit for someone with a structured, analytical mindset who enjoys working with data, systems, and recurring processes, and is interested in how HR operations work in practice.

You’ll support ongoing HR administration throughout the month and take an active role in monthly payroll preparation. The workload varies, with higher intensity during payroll periods, so flexibility and reliability are key.

Your day to day will include:

• Handling payroll-related administration throughout the month (absences, allowances, benefits, deductions)
• Validating submitted data and flagging inconsistencies or missing information
• Supporting payroll-related documentation and filing
• Assisting with employment certificates and official statements
• Supporting the Payroll Specialist during payroll-heavy periods, especially at the beginning and end of each month
• Maintaining accurate employee data across our systems and internal trackers
• Supporting onboarding and offboarding administration, including data entry and document preparation
• Supporting HR documentation by preparing and updating templates and documents such as employment contracts and job descriptions
• Maintaining internal trackers, templates, and documentation
• Supporting the People Team with ad hoc administrative tasks

What makes you thrive here:

• Currently studying at a university, with at least one year remaining; an economics, technical, analytical, or systems-oriented field of study is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
• Reliable, discreet, and comfortable handling sensitive information
• Confidence in working with numbers, data, and spreadsheets
• Strong Google Sheets skills (functions, formulas, data handling)
• English knowledge (oral and written) at a basic working level and Hungarian knowledge on a native level
• Availability of 25–30 hours per week on average, with flexibility to adapt to changing workload
• Ability to be available primarily during payroll-heavy periods, especially the first and last week of the month
• Nice-to-have: basic understanding of Hungarian labour law or payroll processes
