Role Summary:

• The Clinical Supervisor contributes to the medical center effectiveness by: accomplishing company established objectives; utilizing skilled clinical nursing techniques and assessments and advanced supervisory skills; and providing a range of nursing care, clinical direction and fostering patient outcomes that are consistent with established standards of patient care. This position works in conjunction with the Practice Administrator to coordinate all clinical aspects of the practice, including clinical policies and protocols, OSHA training, clinical compliance, CLIA standards, BioHaz and pharmaceutical standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Works with the Practice Administrator to facilitate the office clinical goals and work standards.
• Establishes and directs the work and assignments of other staff Nurses and Medical Assistants – establishes the clinical flow of the office
• Oversees nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patient’s health and wellness
• Assists assigned staff in solving patient issues
• Selects, orients, trains and evaluates the performance of assigned staff, interviews prospective new hires, and participates in corrective counseling of assigned staff members
• Ensures the development and delivery of clinical education to staff
• Assists physicians as needed
• Oversees follow-ups all diagnostic studies that are ordered including proper documentation and physician’s signature on test results
• Oversees laboratory services provided in the offices
• Responsible for documentation of annual OSHA/Biomedical updates meetings and application for all staff
• Practices safety precautions and wears personal protective equipment when needed. Ensures staff does the same
• Oversees all patient documentation
• Assists with clinical procedures as needed
• Maintains HIPAA rules and regulations as it applies to patient privacy and oversees staff compliance with such
• Assists the Practice Manager as needed under the scope of clinical nursing
• Attends mandatory company training sessions as required by state/federal law where applicable
• Maintains nursing licenses and certifications as applicable
• Serves as an active part of the center’s clinical and management team

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nursing Degree or License
• 5+ years’ experience
• 3+ years’ advanced supervisory/management skills in the health care industry
• Knowledge of day to day functions and flow of a medical practice
• Knowledge of regulatory and governmental standards
