Summary: Sunrun is a leading company in the solar energy sector, dedicated to connecting people to clean energy solutions. The Non-Certified Electrician will be responsible for leading the installation of residential solar systems and batteries, ensuring compliance with building codes, and troubleshooting electrical issues as needed. Responsibilities: - Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer’s residential property - Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes - Safely plan and complete solar battery installations and MPUs as assigned and depending on state electrical certification requirements - Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues - Work with branch team and home owners to fulfill or assist in any necessary system upgrades/repairs to support our solar equipment - Work with local inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations as assigned - Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and enforce safety practices and standards - Additional duties assigned as needed - 5% travel required Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Must possess 75% of the hours required to sit for state specific electrical certification exams - Electrical installation and repair experience required. Experience with electrical work involving wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC - Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license - Electrical/PV Installation Knowledge: Working knowledge of current NEC codes. Ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter. Demonstrates knowledge of electrical principles as it pertains to solar interconnection/tie-in and code and how PV systems operate. Understands interconnection activities. Understands basic construction principles - Safety: Adheres to company safety policies and procedures including ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safely - Customer Service: Ability to establish rapport, build relationships and loyalty with external and internal customers and coworkers, and remains tactful when communicating - Results Driven: Proven ability to meet deadlines and key metrics.
