Job Description
Summary: Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is a leading company in the equipment rental industry, seeking a Service Administrator to assist the Service Manager with customer relations and maintaining DOT compliance. The role involves scheduling maintenance, conducting inspections, and managing warranty processes, ensuring efficient operations within the service department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains truck files and DOT compliance for both Rental and Non Rental Fleet
- Schedules and coordinates Preventive Maintenance and DOT inspections on both Rental and Non Rental Fleet (Trucks)
- Performs duties as Safety Coordinator in regards to DOT Fleet
- Conducts weekly inspections of DOT Fleet
- Monitors Loading and Unloading of on Sunbelt Yard
- Conducts DOS with drivers on a monthly basis
- Assists Service Manager in the warranty recovery process
- Conducts reviews of closed work orders to ensure warranty opportunity has not been missed
- Catalogs warranty parts for validation on manufacturer’s request
- Maintains Compliance with Manufacturer’s issued Service Bulletins
- Assists Service Manager in Customer Damage
- Prepares damage letters and send to customers
- Maintains photographic and physical evidence relating to customer damage
- Directs the supply of parts to shop mechanics, other branches and customers
- Screens and prioritizes service calls to meet customer needs
- Assures that equipment is available as required
- Orders parts in order to maintain adequate supplies
- Works with equipment vendors to learn the maintenance requirements and capabilities of new equipment added to inventory
Required Qualifications:

- The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job
