The Biostatistics Internship offers hands-on experience in biostatistics and bioinformatics, where the intern will support data-driven biomedical projects through statistical analysis and research. Responsibilities: - Conduct targeted searches of applicable clinical research, retrieving protocols and statistical analysis plans - Assist with processing and analyzing biological datasets (e.g., genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, or clinical omics data) using tools such as R/Bioconductor, Python, or command line workflows - Investigate descriptive and inferential methodologies at the direction of biostatisticians, support model development/ implementation, and contribute to reproducible analytical pipelines via Quarto/ RMarkdown - Assisting with cleaning, organizing datasets to be used in exploratory methodology implementations, maintain documentation for methodology implementations - Work with biostatisticians, bioinformaticians, to support project goals - All other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Enrollment in or recent graduate in a degree program in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Biology, or a related field - Coursework in statistical inference, regression, bioinformatics and at least one programming language - Experience with R, Python, or similar analytical tools - Ability to read and interpret scientific literature and summarize complex information clearly - Strong attention to detail and interest in biological or health related data Required Skills: Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Statistical analysis Important Skills: R, Python Nice-to-Have Skills: Scientific communication Benefits: Bonus, Stock, Benefits, Other applicable variable compensation
