Job Description
Hands-on part-time bookkeeper (20–25 hrs/week) needed for a DCYF-contracted child development provider in Chehalis; responsibilities include QuickBooks Online transaction entry, Gusto payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting; grant bookkeeping experience a plus.
Description
SCCD is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team in a hands-on role supporting the financial operations of our organization. This is not a standard small-business bookkeeping position. Because SCCD receives federal and state grant funding, the Bookkeeper plays a critical role in ensuring our financial records meet the compliance requirements of our DCYF contract and federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
Working approximately 15-20 hours per week, the Bookkeeper is responsible for day-to-day transaction entry and coding in QuickBooks Online, monthly payroll processing through Gusto, bank reconciliations, cost allocation calculations, and financial reporting. The role works closely with the Executive Director, Operations Manager, and our outsourced Accountant.
This position is particularly well-suited to someone with government grant bookkeeping experience who is comfortable with fund accounting, wants meaningful part-time work, and takes satisfaction in clean, accurate records.
