Summary: Sumitomo Electric U.S.A. Holdings, Inc. is seeking a full-time IT Technician in their Mt. Prospect, IL location. This role involves providing support on IT-related tasks and being part of the SEUHO-IS helpdesk, including resolving hardware/software issues and assisting in IT projects. Responsibilities: - Assist in resolving hardware/software issues for end users - Work on IT projects as directed by management - Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining desktop systems - Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage - Install hardware (computers, monitors, servers, UPS, routers, switches, etc.) - Manage all equipment and perform periodic inventories as required - Troubleshoot mobile devices, configure new devices - Install and configure computer systems, phones, and applications within the company Required Qualifications: - BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask - Effectively present information and respond to questions from users and business partners - Organizational and time management skills sufficient to independently establish priorities and coordinate and complete competing projects within set timeframes - Work well independently as well as part of a team Required Skills: Hardware troubleshooting, Software troubleshooting, Desktop system maintenance, Hardware installation, Inventory management, Mobile device troubleshooting, Device configuration, Computer system installation, Phone system installation, Application installation, Multitasking, Independent work Benefits: Additional discretionary bonuses/incentives
