About the role
Job Overview
The Orientation Specialist supports the overall mission of Streets2Schools by engaging potential clients and guiding them from initial contact through successful enrollment. This position builds rapport, communicates the value and requirements of the program, addresses questions or barriers that may prevent enrollment, and helps prospective clients take the next steps needed to begin services. The Orientation Specialist performs proactive and responsive outreach with a focus on client engagement, enrollment completion, and timely program entry, while adhering to company guidelines and agency compliance standards. This position reports to the Intake and Appointments Coordinator.
What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive video-based intake meetings that build client confidence and commitment, clearly communicate program procedures and expectations, address questions or barriers, and guide clients through completion of the enrollment process while ensuring accurate documentation of all required client information.
- Lead video-based re-enrollment, exit, and other specialized client sessions using a structured, compassionate, and solution-focused approach that encourages client engagement, resolves barriers when possible, and supports successful completion of the appropriate next step.
- Prepare clients for upcoming webinars by clearly communicating procedures, expectations, and program requirements; proactively address questions or concerns; and reinforce the client’s readiness and commitment to successfully begin and participate in services.
- Implement follow-up protocols to ensure clients remain engaged, informed, and supported throughout their participation in the program.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, meetings, and follow-ups in the organization’s database, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of varying county-specific guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance, adjusting processes as rules change to provide accurate information and guidance.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and use sound judgment in all duties, exercising integrity in every aspect of client support, financial management, and data handling.
- Engage in secondary projects and assist with additional tasks that support departmental goals, embodying a commitment to innovation and the organization’s evolving needs.
Qualifications
● Fluent in Spanish and the ability to address client challenges promptly and offer solutions that align with organizational standards.
● Proven ability to work effectively within a team and liaise across departments to support client success.
● Create, edit, and maintain data in spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data management.
● Demonstrate intuitive skills with various software applications, adapting quickly to new tools as needed.Comfortable with video conferencing tools, data management systems, and multi-channel communication platforms.
● Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with an encouraging and compassionate attitude.
● Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions, both internally and externally.
● Display a reliable, diligent, and proactive work ethic.
