Job Description
Summary: Stoneridge has designed and manufactured advanced technologies for vehicle OEMs since 1965. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will assist in maintaining automation systems and support production goals while ensuring safe and efficient work environments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and improvement of automation systems, tools, fixtures and gages
- Help to provide safe and efficient work areas
- Help with problem solving/root cause analysis and development of action items
- Support of production to achieve OEE goals and scrap reduction targets
- Assist in new product line launches
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Proficient in CAD, including 2D and 3D modeling
- Demonstrated use of problem solving techniques
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Self directed and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated use of team leading and building techniques
- Ability to build relationships between departments
