We are currently looking for a permanent full-time Production Support Specialist to join our team. This is a fully remote, home-office position with regular travel throughout the Midwest region. The Production Support Specialist will provide production expertise, technical support, and practical solutions to AcuFast’s internal production systems, genetic partners, and external customers. This role will play an important part in translating AcuFast’s genetic and reproductive technologies into measurable on-farm results.

The successful candidate will work closely with producers, account managers, genetic partners, production teams, and internal technical functions to identify production opportunities, address challenges, support the implementation of genetic programs, and strengthen customer performance and retention. The role requires a strong combination of swine production knowledge, practical problem-solving, customer relationship skills, data interpretation, and the ability to work effectively across multiple locations and stakeholders.

This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not limited to:

• Providing technical and production support to AcuFast internal production systems, multiplication sites, genetic partners, and customer farms,

• Assessing production performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing practical recommendations based on sound production principles and AcuFast programs,

• Supporting customers and partners with the implementation and ongoing management of AcuFast genetic programs,

• Conducting regular farm visits and providing field-based support to ensure effective execution of production and genetic programs,

• Troubleshooting production-related challenges and coordinating appropriate technical resources when specialized support is required,

• Serving as a trusted technical resource to customers, producers, and genetic partners, helping them maximize the value of AcuFast genetics and associated technologies,

• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers, genetic partners, account managers, and production teams,

• Supporting account managers with technical expertise during customer interactions, business development activities, and account management,

• Participating in customer meetings, farm visits, technical reviews, and industry events as required,

• Monitoring the implementation and performance of AcuFast products and programs and communicating field results, customer feedback, and opportunities for improvement to internal teams,

• Promoting and supporting compliance with AcuFast biosecurity, animal health, welfare, and production standards,

• Identifying potential biosecurity risks during farm visits and communicating concerns to the appropriate personnel,

• Reviewing production and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention,

• Supporting benchmarking and performance analysis across genetic and production systems,

• Collecting and communicating relevant field observations, production results, and customer feedback to internal technical and commercial teams,

• Contributing to the development of technical reports, presentations, benchmarking materials, and customer-facing recommendations,

• Working closely with Production Support, Genetic Solutions, Reproductive Solutions, Customer Success, Sales, Logistics, Operations, and R&D,

• Providing technical input to commercial teams to strengthen customer engagement, customer value, retention, and growth,

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance herd performance, productivity, efficiency, and genetic value,

• Reviewing, updating, and creating materials to support product performance,

• Escalating significant production, customer, biosecurity, or technical issues to the appropriate leader in a timely manner,

• Supporting special projects and strategic initiatives within the Technical Solutions organization,

• Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate would ideally possess the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in animal science, Swine Production, Agriculture, Veterinary Technology, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant practical experience may be considered,

• 3+ years of progressive experience in swine production, genetics, technical services, production support, or a related field,

• Demonstrated experience working directly with swine production operations, genetic programs, or commercial customers,

• Experience supporting multiplication, genetic, or commercial production systems is strongly preferred,

• Strong understanding of modern swine production systems and production practices,

• Working knowledge of swine genetics, herd improvement, reproduction, and production performance,

• Ability to interpret production data and translate findings into practical recommendations,

• Understanding of biosecurity principles and their application in commercial and genetic production environments,

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills,

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills,

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and utilize production, genetic, and data-management systems,

• Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships,

• Self-motivated, accountable, adaptable, and able to work independently in a field-based environment,

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams,

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, including overnight and occasional out-of-region travel,

• Bilingual, with Spanish fluency preferred,

• Experience working with multicultural teams is an asset,
