Summary: Stellant Systems, Inc. is currently seeking a Summer Engineering Intern to join their team in Torrance, California. In this role, the intern will support various engineering groups and work on projects related to production, development, and testing of equipment for Traveling Wave Tubes and other products. Responsibilities: - Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering: Concentrated support of a specific assembly and process, ideal with a goal for improved touch time, yield, automation or similar - Brief senior leadership on project efforts and progress - Interact with engineering on investigations, design, troubleshooting and/or other activities - Potentially interact with vendors, customers, and other Stellant non-engineering personnel Required Qualifications: - Must be a continuing student with at least three years of relevant engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer sciences experience - Must have a solid academic background - Effective communication and interpersonal skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Must be able to work well in a team environment and with individuals from a variety of areas within the company (such as program managers, engineers from multiple disciplines, manufacturing and test personnel) Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge vacuum equipment a plus - Programming experience a plus - Knowledge of RF techniques or systems a plus - Knowledge working with engineering drawings helpful - Knowledge in manufacturing / welding / other related item to specific roles a plus Required Skills: Microsoft Office, Programming, Engineering Drawings, Vacuum Equipment, RF Techniques, Manufacturing, Welding
