The intern will be involved in various phases of developmental engineering projects, including design, evaluation, and documentation. Responsibilities: - Designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates mechanical and/or electronic apparatus - Analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests - Evaluates and maintains records and writes reports of the results of their work - Generates engineering documentation and test procedures - Liaison with Designers, Technicians and Purchasing Department for evaluation of products/parts - Performs other similarly related tasks as assigned Required Qualifications: - Working towards a Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Microsoft Office proficiency - To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (e.g. Green Card holder), or a protected individual as defined by the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience writing technical specifications and other technical documents is a plus Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering Important Skills: Microsoft Office
