Job Description
Summary: State Street is one of the largest custodian banks and asset managers in the world, focused on delivering next-generation wealth management solutions. As a Co-op on the Wealth R&D team, you will support market research, data analysis, and collaborate on product development to shape innovative solutions in wealth management.
Responsibilities:
- Research & Analysis: Support market research, competitive analysis, and trend identification to inform product strategy and innovation priorities
- Data & Insights: Assist in gathering, cleaning, and analyzing data to support AI-driven initiatives and digital platform development
- Product Development Support: Collaborate with product managers and engineers on design documentation, feature testing, and quality assurance for emerging solutions
- Innovation Projects: Contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives, helping validate new technologies and approaches for wealth platforms
- Client-Centric Design: Participate in user research activities, persona development, and feedback sessions to ensure solutions meet client needs
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders across technology, product, and strategy teams to align deliverables with business objectives
- Presentation & Reporting: Prepare summaries, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and progress to leadership and project teams
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Liberal Arts
- Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights to support innovation projects
- Familiarity with tools for data analysis (Excel, Python, or similar) and an interest in emerging technologies like AI and digital platforms
- Strong capability to conduct market and competitive research, synthesize findings, and present clear recommendations
- Comfort working in cross-functional teams and effectively communicating ideas through written and verbal channels
- Creative approach to tackling challenges and contributing to proof-of-concept initiatives
- Precision in handling data, documentation, and testing activities to ensure quality outcomes
- Eagerness to learn, explore new concepts, and thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
