Job Description
Summary: State Street is one of the largest custodian banks and asset managers in the world, and they are seeking a versatile intern to support the development and enhancement of their products and services. The role involves strategic analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and driving high-impact initiatives across the product organization.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze strategic issues by framing key questions, structuring analyses, and translating findings into clear, actionable insights for senior management
- Independently gather, interpret, and synthesize information on strategic challenges facing the product organization and the firm
- Review, maintain, and support updates to product roadmaps; contribute to prioritization of future enhancements and development activities
- Coordinate and help lead AI, digital, and automation initiatives across Alpha services — from proof of concepts to execution
- Support the creation, monitoring, and adjustment of the Alpha Services IT budget; help develop and refine product P&Ls
- Propose and improve methods to track progress against business goals
- Explore external product capabilities and partnership opportunities; help evaluate and advance strategic partnerships
Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, business, technology, data science, or related fields
- Strong ability to translate complex analysis into clear written and verbal communication for stakeholders and business leaders
- Experience analyzing requirements, assessing capabilities, and writing clear, detailed business requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Hands-on experience with AI, JIRA, Power BI, SQL, or database querying
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
