Job Description
Summary: The State of Oklahoma is seeking an Administrative Programs Officer I to serve as the primary point of contact for management of administrative support programs. This role involves overseeing various administrative functions, ensuring compliance with policies, and assisting the commander in internal operations and program management.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes and/or directs a component of an agency or institutional program or a major division, program, or function established to accomplish a basic goal or mission of the agency
- Interprets and advises agency personnel and the general public on departmental rules, regulations and laws governing the operation of the agency, division or department program
- Prepares administrative, statistical and/or fiscal documents pertaining to departmental activity
- Performs the execution, publishing, and filing of military pay orders and travel orders
- Responsible for all planning, purchase request, and inventory control for automated equipment
- Manages all file systems within the department ensuring files are properly indexed, labeled, and stored. Manages publication library and form files
- Knowledge of IEMS, AROWS, ATAPS and DTS programs
- Management of Enlisted and Officer evaluation program
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- One year of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration
- Knowledge of the methods of organization and management
- Knowledge of public administration
- Knowledge of agency policies and procedures
- Knowledge of grant or contract program requirements
- Knowledge of the legislative process
- Knowledge of basic research and statistical techniques
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to administration of assigned programs
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and develop training programs
- Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions
- Ability to organize and present facts and opinions
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Typing for long periods of time
- Able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds
- Contingent on a favorable background check

- Tier 1 security clearance
- Maintain a valid driver's license
