Summary: Starkey Hearing is a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of advanced hearing technologies, dedicated to connecting people and changing lives. They are seeking a Software Tester I to conduct software testing on various applications and hardware systems, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to customers. Responsibilities: - Conduct Software Testing on software applications - Perform system level testing on Starkey’s Software and Hardware systems working either in a team or independently - Follow standard Configuration Management practices and utilize a defect tracking tool. Tracking quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts - Resolve and provide solutions to internal and external customer related issues - Participate in the development and implementation of structured testing concepts, methodologies and automated testing tools where applicable - Provide and promote internal communication between Software Engineering and other functional groups within the organization - Interact closely with the Software Engineering development team and assist software developers with problem resolutions - Attend project core team meetings - Release high quality software on time and within budget - Provide quality software improvements where Software Test can benefit from - Properly handling conflicts and issues in a timely fashion and escalating when necessary Required Qualifications: - 4-year degree or equivalent required - Minimum of 1 - 2 years of software test / quality assurance experience - Understanding of Software development lifecycle principles required - High degree of computer literacy required - Demonstrated excellent relationship management ability - Experience in Window based operating systems and PC's - Ability to work on fast-paced, team-oriented environment, handling multiple priorities - Excellent organizational, communication and test skills required - Demonstrate reliability along with the ability to drive for results - Able to collaborate and function effectively in a team environment - Excellent interpersonal skills required Required Skills: Software Testing, Quality Assurance, Software Development Lifecycle, Configuration Management, Defect Tracking, Automated Testing Tools, Windows Operating System, Relationship Management Benefits: Medical, Dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, Company-paid life and short-term disability insurance, Long-term disability insurance, Employee assistance plan, Hearing aid benefits, Paid Time Off, Paid holidays, Paid floating holidays, Paid volunteer service day, Paid paternity and maternity leave, Tuition reimbursement
