They are seeking a Mechanical/Piping Designer Intern to join their Design Team, where the intern will work on industrial manufacturing and food-based projects, gaining hands-on experience in 3D design and modeling. Responsibilities: - As a Mechanical/Piping Designer Intern, you will be fully immersed in the Design team - You will learn to translate engineering concepts into technical reality by working in the 3D design world - We will teach you how to interpret complex process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and transform schematic engineering drawings into a 3D world of piping, pumps, tanks and plant layouts - You will also have the opportunity to develop 3D modeling skills in Revit and Plant 3D, modeling equipment from vendor drawings and piping from P&IDs —into overall multi-discipline project models Required Qualifications: - Able to work independently as well as part of a team - Effective verbal and written communication skills with both clients and project team members, with a strong customer service attitude - Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies - Strong organizational skills for maintaining project files and information received from clients and vendors - Basic understanding of task hour estimating and being accountable for personal hour budgets - Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done - Currently enrolled in a CAD drafting/design program at a technical college, with a focus and/or interest in the design - 0-2 years of relevant intern experience is a plus Required Skills: 3D modeling, Revit, Plant 3D Important Skills: CAD drafting/design Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical skills Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision plans, Wellness program, Health saving accounts, Flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, Employee stock purchase program, Life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, Short-term/long-term disability plans, Emergency travel benefits, Tuition reimbursement, Professional membership fee coverage, Paid family leave, Ten paid holidays in each calendar year, Eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year, Eligible for paid sick leave
